Athens Watch ‘regatta Regatta Chronograph’ Won The Geneva Sport Awards Best Sports Watch

On Wednesday, November 8th, nearly a thousand guests from all over the world gathered at the Léman Theatre in Geneva to witness the 17th Geneva Watch Awards Grand Prix d’ Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) awards ceremony. An international jury composed of watch collectors and watch media selected the Athens watch ‘Regatta Regatta Chronograph’ as the best sports watch. New CEO Patrick Pruniaux said, ‘All my colleagues at Ulysse Nardin are very honored to receive this award. The Regatta Chronograph is the result of months of research and development. The new UN-155 movement has excellent performance and operation. Convenient, stunning debut with perfect design. ‘

‘Become a winner, seize the opportunity’ is precisely the purpose of the Swiss Athens watch design and creation of the new ‘Regatta Regatta Chronograph’. The watch is equipped with a patent that can set a countdown hand within 10 minutes. The key to the success of the regatta is a few minutes before the firing of the starting gun, and the sailing team ensures that the sailing boat is skillfully manipulated to get out of the starting line in the perfect position at the perfect moment. After the countdown is completed, the two-way second hand will immediately move clockwise to start timing the game. This watch clocked the Artemis Racing team at the America’s Cup regatta earlier this year.

Winning ticket
Just as rowers will study the effects of wind direction and current before sailing, the dynamics of the watch have been carefully designed to ensure accuracy and reliability. This device combines complex functions with a built-in countdown timer, allowing the central second hand to rotate counterclockwise or clockwise for pre-race countdown and race time. Rowers need only start the countdown and not use it for other additional operations. This is the result of several months of research and development. Based on the brand’s well-known UN-153 chronograph movement, the new UN-155 movement has excellent performance, convenient operation, and stunning appearance with perfect design. And it has a power reserve of up to 3 days, and it can stop the operation of the two-way second hand when adjusting the hour and the two-way calendar, which improves the intuitiveness of operation.

Show power and beauty with the unique design of the ship’s side
‘Regatta Regatta Chronograph’ has a unique shape, reminiscent of the nautical origins of the Athenian watch. The 44mm diameter stainless steel case is water-resistant to 100 meters. The groove of the coin-shaped bezel is inlaid with rubber, equipped with a screw-in crown and two rubber push handles. The lugs of the watch perfectly match the rubber strap with titanium components and folding clasp. The dial is available in two styles: the first is a deep ocean blue; the second is a vibrant wave of white. Both models have a circle representing the color of the Artemis Racing team. The yellow Arabic numerals countdown dial is indicated by the countdown minute hand; the outermost dial is a Roman numeral hour marker, and the center is the luminous hour and minute hands. Decoration; 12-hour and 60-minute chronograph dials and circular calendar windows at 6 o’clock. The Athens watch commemorates the partnership with the Artemis Racing team at the 35th America’s Cup, and has specially produced a limited edition of 35 watches. This limited-edition model features a black-filled enamel dial with a countdown scale on the edge of the dial. The dial is dominated by yellow and carbon gray representing the Swedish fleet.
